Discipline; is it a core trait of free will?

Discipline may be the key to human self-evolution.

The will to change and be consistent applies to so many success stories.

Success is a personal condition for optimum results.

These “results “ are better quality of life conditions.

  • Mind

  • Body

  • Spirit

All benefit from the Discipline to willingly nourish your being, in order to experience your best expression.

That may be the beauty of human art; the path of expressing a discipline and experiencing the journey in the transformation of a medium:

You

Or clay

Painting is the most common

Discipline isn't punishment when you're conditioning yourself for your greater self.

The difference between a bad habit and willpower is intent.

Thought formula
Intent=direction

Direction(what you intend) + work (effort towards direction) x momentum = Will power

The Discipline to change can be developed by recognizing honest intentions and working to honor them.

Perhaps…

To support the notion, let's consider the context of Discipline when referring to martial arts and academic expertise;

What's your Discipline?

That phrase is often a precursor for putting years of training, studying and personal commitment within an established System into a title:

Astrophysicist

Kung fu master

Years of experience, application and studying In Order to maximize the expression of your Discipline within the connected field of your craft.

If order is the harmony Within a system set to a specific parameter*,

Then Discipline would be a result of consciousness, applying well to create and maintain A system.

Considering human Nature's tendency toward chaos, the idea of Divinity seems inevitable when you realize that an average human perspective may naturally see the contradictions between Human nature and everything else in existence and wonder how we’re even alive.

Must be (a) God,

Because we don't get it (reality), perhaps that vulnerability in ego accentuates the association of Divinity and feeling Chosen,

While also being connected.

In all, even practicing religion is a type of discipline.

What does that all have to do with free will and self-evolution?

What if I told you to Try changing your mind about anything,

Is one of your 1st responses 'Why"?

Now think of something you want to change your mind about because you already know why.

(like your diet, we can start small and not go right to changing our mind about toxic behaviors that are nurtured into our behaviors deep enough to cloud self-reflection)

What comes to mind?

I think the key takeaway from this example is compromise. Starting somewhere is an expression of free will because "somewhere" implies options which inacts 'Choice'.

But what if you didn't have a thing to change your mind about?

*(the idea of order =consistency expected results from a system)
